Who Are the Stingers?

The “Carolina Stingers,” are previously known as both the Carolina Thunder and the Carolina Sox. The original Sox team was started in 1994, and today they are the only remaining team in the Southern Collegiate Baseball League from the original group of teams.  The league was reformed in 1999, and the Stingers have been a force to be reckoned with in the many different areas they have played.   Their original home base was Belmont, NC.  From there they moved to Rock Hill, SC in 2004 and in 2007 they moved their team to the prospering town of Fort Mill, SC.

Fort Mill has been a great fit for Carolina Stinger baseball.  The Stingers play their games at FortMill High School. This has offered the community great summer baseball as well as many improvements to their field including upgraded bathrooms, infield, and PA system.  The loss of much funding to our schools has put additional pressure on our community for athletic funding. Carolina Stinger baseball will continue to benefit the children and parents of the Fort Mill school district by helping to maintain the field conditions at the High School.

The Carolina Stingers are registered as a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization.  There are many sponsorship opportunities available with the Stingers.  How about a fence sign?  Would you like to have your company name on our bats or balls? There is also the opportunity to advertise in the Stinger media guide.

There is also amazing deals on season ticket packages to the Stingers. For just $49, you can get season tickets to all Stingers home games.  For an upgraded package of $99, you can get season tickets with perks…hotdogs, soda, camp for your kids, Stingers parties and more!  There is also a great business membership package, for  49 which includes season tickets and advertising with the Stingers.
