Team

The Carolina Stingers, a member of the Southern Collegiate Baseball League, are based in Fort Mill, SC. The team has roots since 1994 as the Carolina Sox and was one of the founding members of the Southern Collegiate Baseball League in 1999.

History

The 1994 team was coached by former General Manager Larry Tremitiere and set the standard for all Stinger teams with a 38-8 records. Four players off that team went on to play professional baseball. Since 2007 Fort Mill High School has been our home park. Each year it’s our goal to bring in some of the best college baseball players throughout the United States.

Southern Collegiate Baseball League

The Southern Collegiate Baseball League (SCBL) is proud to be able to bring you some of the best baseball available each summer. Many of the top players from college teams across the country will play in the SCBL. You will have the opportunity to watch Junior College players, NAIA College players, and NCAA College and University players as they compete on a field in your community. Best of all, they will be playing real baseball with wood bats. Many of our fans have compared their experience at our games to watching Minor League Baseball.

You will be welcomed at each of our ballparks to enjoy the game and festive atmosphere. Feel free to chat with players and coaches before and after the game. They will gladly give you their autograph and talk about their college experiences. We want you to enjoy your time at our games; so don’t hesitate to tell us what we can do to make your visit a better one.

The SCBL is certified by the NCAA, endorsed by Major League Baseball, and is an active member of the National Alliance of College Summer Baseball. The league is registered as a non-profit organization and depends on the assistance of its friends and sponsors in order to continue its worthwhile service to both the student-athlete and the communities where we play.
